Camboriú anuncia hidrovia para operação logística de porto de cruzeiros

O prefeito de Camboriú, Elcio Kuhnen (MDB), anunciou oficialmente nesta quarta-feira (23) o entendimento da prefeitura com a empresa PDBS, responsável pelo projeto do porto de transatlânticos de Balneário Camboriú, para receber a operação logística do terminal. A ideia é viabilizar uma hidrovia ao longo do Rio Camboriú, para atender aos navios por meio de barcaças.

A prefeitura aposta alto no projeto, visto como uma possível nova matriz econômica para a cidade. A expectativa é que o ISS, que é o imposto sobre serviços, dobre com a operação do porto. O valor, hoje, é mínimo: cerca de R$ 8 milhões.

A expectativa é gerar mais de 300 empregos com o início das obras, podendo chegar a 6 mil vagas de trabalho, diretas e indiretas, quando o empreendimento estiver em operação.

- Com isto, em uma cidade que hoje tem déficit de receita, vamos conseguir trazer mais fácil o progresso e o desenvolvimento econômico tão esperado – disse o prefeito.
